SPOT 3 GPS Tracker FAQs
Do you charge late fees if the tracker is returned late? Yes, a fee of $15 per day will be applied to the credit card on file.
Are batteries included? We do not supply our trackers with batteries. We recommend you use Energizer Lithium AAA batteries as we find they last the longest in these trackers.
When will I receive my tracker? You may pick up your tracker at Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust at 2424 Main Street, Rangeley, on the first day of your booking.
Do I have to pay the subscription fees? No, these are included in the rental.
Is there any setup required? Yes, you will receive information on how to personalize your SPOT messenger.
Do you rent outside of Maine & New Hampshire? No.
What is your cancellation policy? You have the right to cancel your booking under the following conditions:
Up to 30 days prior to booking – 100% Refund
Between 29 and 15 days prior to booking – 50% Refund
Between 14 days prior and the start of the booking – No Refund
Can you change the tracking interval? Yes, tracking can be set to 5, 10, 30, or 60-minute intervals.
Is the tracker insured during the rental? No, the tracker is your responsibility during the rental and if you are concerned about it getting lost or damaged, you will need to insure it yourself.
Do I have to sign a rental agreement? When you reserve your SPOT messenger, you check a box acknowledging you have read, understood and accept our SPOT Rental Agreement.
