Mainland Parcel: From Oquossoc travel south on Route 17 to Herbie Welch Road. Turn left on Stephen Phillips Road and follow to the end.
Students Island: Accessible by boat only.
The Mainland parcel totals 502 acres of conservation lands. This densely forested parcel has 24 campsites available for recreational use through the Stephen Phillips Memorial Campground.
Students Island is a 115-acre parcel that is only accessible by water. Designated public launch sites can be found at the Toothaker Island State Launch (Rangeley Plantation), Haines Landing Launch (Oquossoc) or Cupsuptic River Launch (Upper Cupsuptic Township). The island is almost entirely forested with nature trails that are open for day use. There are 18 primitive camping sites on the Island.
Both the Mainland and Students Island support abundant waterfowl, wildlife and fisheries. Common animals that you may see are common loons, Canada geese, heron, mergansers, moose, deer, brook trout and landlocked salmon. These parcels offer endless recreational opportunities far beyond camping including; fishing, hiking, picnicking, swimming and boating.
