Spend your summer on the shores of the
Rangeley’s Lakes and Ponds!
Seasonal Courtesy Boat Inspector and Lake Protection Educator
Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust is accepting applications for two (2)
part time Courtesy Boat Inspectors (CBI’s) for the Rangeley Region.
As advocates for the lakes, CBIs are a critically important part of
the Regional effort to protect them from Invasive Aquatic Plants (IAPs).
The ideal candidate will be friendly, cooperative, and able to
maintain a positive attitude. With permission from boaters, he/she
will educate boaters about IAPs while teaching them how to inspect
their own watercraft. These are 20-25 hour/week positions that will
start on weekends in May and last through August or September (end
date is flexible).
Weekend hours, holiday hours, and some early mornings are required
as well as reliable transportation. These are ideal second jobs or
part time positions for high school /college students or folks who
are concerned about Invasive Aquatic Species and who can work with
the public as positive advocates for the lakes. To apply, print out
and mail our application, stop by our office in Oquossoc, or contact
Rebecca Kurtz at 864-7311 x 5/
